Fuji 1 uses a strontium‑based glass ionomer formula that chemically bonds to enamel, dentin and metal, creating a tight marginal seal with a tooth‑like coefficient of thermal expansion to reduce post‑operative sensitivity. Its smooth, creamy mix, low film thickness and sharp set characteristics allow easy seating of crowns and bridges while maintaining adequate working time. The resin‑free composition offers excellent biocompatibility, moisture tolerance and long‑term fluoride release, making it suitable for everyday cementation, including cases with less‑than‑ideal isolation.
